This morning Warner Home Video has formally announced that Chuck – The Complete 5th and Final Season, on DVD and high-def Blu-ray Disc, is scheduled to be in stores on May 8th. The final 13 episodes included visits from such people as Mark Hamill, Ethan Phillips, Carrie-Anne Moss, Justin Hartley, Jeff Fahey, Richard Burgi, Rebecca Romijn, Stan Lee, Cheryl Ladd, Bo Derek, Ben Browder, Erin Cahill, Angus Macfadyen, Mark Pellegrino, Robert Duncan McNeill and Linda Hamilton…a virtual geek-fest of guest stars! It’s great in particular to see McNeill (Star Trek Voyager’s “Tom Paris”) get in front of the camera (even if only briefly) for Chuck, finally, since he’s produced and directed so many episodes during the show’s run!

The DVD comes with anamorphic widescreen video, English 5.1 Dolby Surround, and a $39.98 SRP pricetag. The high-def Blu-ray Disc version comes with 1080p widescreen video, English 5.1 DTS HD-Master Audio, and a cost of $49.99 SRP. Both versions come with a Digital Copy offer included, which uses the “Ultraviolet” instant-streaming process; this offer is available to be redeemed on all 13 episodes of Chuck – The Complete 5th and Final Season for up to 2 years following the title’s street date.
