Chuck star and t-shirt entrepreneur Zachary Levi has confirmed that he will finally get to Fandral, one of the Warriors Three, in Thor 2.

Although his casting had been long-rumoured, he made it official during an interview on America’s Jay Leno show.

Levi was cast as Fandral in the original Thor, but had to drop out as the last minute when Chuck’s final season was given an unexpected episode extension.

Ironically, the role has become available again because Josh Dallas, who replaced Levi as Fandral in the original Thor, now stars as Prince Charming in the TV show Once Upon A Time. Because that has been given a second season, he became unavailable.

Game Of Thrones director Alan Taylor will be making his feature film directing debut with Thor 2. Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Idris Elba and Anthony Hopkins are returning, and Mads Mikkelsen is in negotiations to play the villain.

Thor 2 is scheduled to be released in the UK on 15 November 2013.
